Crusaders Topple Undefeated Saints

The crusade for having a team finish undefeated in the Fall regular season of the South Coastal Men's Hockey League has come to an end. The undefeated Saints were run over by the hot Crusaders as led by Jim Callahan's three goals and two assists. They pulled out a 7-2 win. Jon Choate added two goals and an assist, while Ed Burke of Marshfield and Hingham's Nate Rasmussen had a goal apiece for the Crusaders who have defeated the top two Legends division teams (the Saints and the Stingers) in their last two games. Tom Shaughnessy of Hanover and Mike Ryan scored the goals for the Saints.

Paul Brinkmann scored two goals in the first period as the Toros hung on for a 2-1 win over the Sharks. Marshfield's Tim Cruz scored for the Sharks in the second period.
Hanover's Jay Kavanah, Scott Kelly of Pembroke and Paul Smyth scored a goal each as the Stingers held on for a 3-2 Legends win over the Whalers.

Steve Concannon of Scituate and Marshfield's Chuck Morrison scored a goal each for the Whalers.
Mike Martin scored two goals in regulation and Hanover's Peter Fallon scored the only goal in the shoot out as the Bruins pulled out a 3-2

win over the Red Wings. Kevin Barnard and Kevin Brophy scored for the Red Wings in regulation.
Don Studley of Norwell scored a short-handed goal and Pembroke's Mike Bartlett scored in the last three minutes of the second period as the Maple Leafs rallied for a 2-1 win over the Classics division-leading Black Hawks. Pembroke's Hank Mosca scored for the Black Hawks, who struggled with penalties in the last two periods.

John Davey had a goal and an assist as the Canadiens held on for a 3-2 Classics division win over the Rangers. Marshfield's Tim McCrystal and Glen Harnish scored the other goals for the Canadiens. Jim Hutchinson and Tom Smith of Marshfield scored for the Rangers.
