SCHL NEWS 11 7 2011

Each year the South Coastal Hockey League honors our veterans on Veterans Day (or the game closest to the 11.11 date) with a special ceremony.
We also honor the members of our league each week by providing a patch showing the service they served in on their uniforms. While there are 24 in the overall league with 3 on active duty, one team (The Sharks) has 7. This includes Lieutenant Colonel Richard Bertone who is on active duty as the commander of the Otis Air National Guard Base on Cape Cod. Two members of the team have sons in the Marine Corps on active duty at this time. The team has purchased custom camo uniforms for the 11/13 game of the week. They have also had uniforms made for the 2 sons (of Steve Sawtelle and Dana Dolabany) that will be sent to them in Afghanistan and will hang in their honor for the television broadcast game.
Please join the league as we honor our veterans on 11/13/11. We are truly honored that they are part of our league.
